Air.
Manchester international airport is the UK's largest airport outside London. The airport serves 35 countries. The cost of a train to the airport from the city centre is £2.80 and a coach will cost you £2.50
Bus
You can catch a bus to most Major cities using the National Express from the Chorlton Street station, examples of cost are a coach to Liverpool £6 and a coach to London £17.
Train
The main station to and from the rest of the UK is Manchester Piccadilly. At least 6 trains a day run to London at a cost of around £49.50. A train to Glasow will cost you ££48.40
Getting around the City
You can buy a Day saver ticket which allows you to use a range of transport in the Greater Manchester. A bus only pass will cost £3.30 a bus and train pass £3.80, a bus and metrolink pass £4.50 , a train and metro link pass £4.50 and a pass for all 3 methods of transport £6.50.
Bus
The centreline bus No4 provides a free service around the heart of the city. Piccadilly Gardens bus station is the best place to go for a bus, as this is the starting point for all the citys buses there is a travel shop to check times and routes.
Metrolink
The metro runs through out the city using a mixture of old train line and tracks on the city centre streets. Tickets can be bought from machines on the platforms.
